We now enter into Holy Week, a sacred time where we focus on the passion, death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. I would encourage to make these days truly sacred and carve out some time on Thursday – Sunday for prayer and reflection. There is so much the Lord wants to give us, we only have to give Him to the gift of our time.
We have been seeing an increase in our mass attendance, which is great news! This will make providing space for all our worshipers a pleasant challenge. Please plan to come to masses early and ushers will be there to assist you. As I mentioned on Sunday, no one likes to be told where to sit at Mass. But we need to maximize the numbers in the congregation since we will continue to social distance which may therefore involve some strategic seating at times. Please be patient and grateful to our ushers.
On Easter Sunday, we will be having overflow masses at the Mother of God gym across that street if needed. I am very grateful to the Mother of God Community for offering us their facility. If (and only if) the Church fills up, we will direct people over to MOG for a Mass offered by one of the SJN priests. Please don’t hesitate to come! Jesus wants to celebrate His Resurrection with you and we will be well prepared to welcome you. We will have the Triduum and Easter Masses live streamed as well.
On behalf of all the priests, know how much you are in our prayers. May the good Lord fill you with an abundance of grace this Holy Week.
