Maryland voters will elect a new governor, members of the State General Assembly and the U.S. Congress, and other officials who will make laws and represent us on November 8 (early voting October 27 - November 3).
As Catholics, we are encouraged to participate in public life, including voting. If you have not registered to vote in Maryland, the deadline for the general election is October 18 (or you can register on Election Day).
Catholics and Politics
“We need to participate for the common good … good Catholics immerse themselves in politics by offering the best of themselves so that the leader can govern.” (Pope Francis, 2013). Form your conscience through your faith, research candidates and vote this fall.
