It is with great joy that I announce I have been assigned to St. John Neumann parish for my diaconate year! I consider this assignment an immense blessing. As a spiritual son of the parish, I can think of no better place to be than home sweet home. It promises to be quite the reunion too as I will be back with all of you, with my parents, with my former seminary rector, Msgr. Panke, my former Mount seminarian brother, Fr. Yap, and of course, the one and only Fr. Peter Sweeney. I look forward to serving you as your deacon over the next year, and with the help of your prayers, for a lifetime as your priest.
In Our Eucharistic Lord,
Dcn. Peter Mlynarczyk
Deacon Peter Mlynarczyk is a seminarian studying for the Archdiocese of Washington. He is entering his seventh and final year of seminary and was just ordained to the diaconate this past June. He is a life-long parishioner of St. John Neumann and, besides Holy Orders, has received all of his sacraments at the parish. Before entering seminary, Deacon Peter graduated from Poolesville High School and then from Montgomery College. He is currently finishing his studies at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg, MD. As part of the seminary formation program, Deacon Peter has been assigned to our parish to serve on the weekends over the course of the next academic year.
