Richard “Rich” Roa has been selected to serve as the new Business Manager for SJN.
Richard Roa
Rich has a Master’s Degree in Information Management from Marymount University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from the University of Maryland. He also received a Certificate in Legislative Studies from the Government Affairs Institute at Georgetown University.
Rich comes from a large family of Veterans and public servants. His father, Arturo, served in the U.S. Army in WW II, three of his brothers Chuck, Ralph, and Mike, served in the U.S. Navy, his three sons, Nick, Anthony, and Mathieu, are U.S. Naval Academy (USNA) graduates currently serving as U.S. Navy Submarine Officers. One of his daughters, Carolina, who graduated with the USNA Class of 2019, is an Ensign studying medicine. Rich’s oldest Daughter, Alessandra, an Optometrist in Chicago, was married at SJN in October 2020. His youngest Daughter, Christina, is an undergraduate student at Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island. Rich retired from the Marine Corps as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2003. He enjoys serving his church, spending time with his 7 grandchildren, and watching Navy Football. Rich considers it a great privilege to serve SJN as the Parish Business Manager.
