Saturday, October 17 Calling All Cyclists! Join the Ride for Vocations “Pilgrimage” Our former pastor, Fr. Kevin Regan, has organized a Ride for Vocations: Southern Maryland Catholic Churches Century ride for cyclists in lovely southern Maryland. Both the 100-mile and 55-mile course options will take you “on pilgrimage” to various churches, where you are welcome to rest, pray, and refuel. Along the way, you are encouraged to offer your prayers and pains for vocations to the priesthood and consecrated life. High-school aged young men who desire to grow in holiness will have an opportunity for Mass, sports, talks, fraternity, and lunch and dinner. The event will be conducted by priests and seminarians of the Archdiocese of Washington, along with other adult chaperones. Most of the day will be spent outdoors (weather permitting), and it will feel much like the longer Quo Vadis Camp. |
