This year we are reminding people to include small items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, books, toys, crayons, puzzles and school supplies. These are always cherished by the many children who will be blessed with the boxes from our parish.
Members of the Knights will be distributing the shoebox size cartons to parishioners following all Masses on the weekend of September 16. Parishioners will be invited to take home a box and fill it with items for boys and girls ranging from ages 2 to 15. They also are encouraged to include a $9 check with each box to cover international shipping costs to the child.
Boxes can be returned to the parish center before all Masses on the weekend of September 30 and left in the designated area. Packing a Box of Joy is always a wonderful work of mercy for families, and blessing a child with this gift is a special experience for everyone involved!
