Fr. Greg Shaffer is pastor of Our Lady of the Visitation Church. A Montgomery county native, Fr. Greg grew up in Bethesda and attended Our Lady of Lourdes parish and school. He graduated from Gonzaga College High School in 1989 and the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts degree (Communications) in 1994. Fr. Greg studied at Mount St. Mary's Seminary and in 2006, he was among twelve men who were ordained priests for the Archdiocese of Washington. Since then, he has served as Parochial Vicar at St. Andrew Apostle in Silver Spring, Chaplain at the George Washington University Newman Center, and Pastor of Assumption Church in Washington, D. C. An enthusiastic witness for Christ and Our Lady, Fr. Greg is excited to lead people in their walk with Christ.
