We will be placing four beautiful Mosaics in the narthex. It is being done by Rugo Stone, a company that did much of the mosaic work in the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. As you enter the church, look at the wall directly in front of you. The circle will contain a Mosaic of the Holy Spirit which descends on all of us drawing us closer to the love of God. There are three half circles below, the center of which will contain a magnificent mosaic of Jesus welcoming all into the Church and His life. The side mosaics are the ancient symbols of Jesus used for ages to signify Christ. There is a rendering in the narthex. These mosaics will be striking when you enter the church and give Glory to God.
We have raised enough for two mosaics and some new donations have started to trickle in, but need about $55,000 more to complete the last two.
