Our "parish son" Deacon Peter Mlynarczyk will be ordained a priest very soon, along with two former SJN summer seminarians: Deacon Tom Robertson (2015) and Deacon Alex Wyvill (2017). There are several events related to Deacon Peter's ordination. You are invited to attend the following:
Sunday, June 5 - 3:30 pm at St. John Neumann Church Holy Hour for Vocations - Join your fellow parishioners in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament at the “Holy Hour for the Intentions of the Ordinandi” and an increase in vocations to the priesthood and consecrated life. The holy hour will include the parish rosary at 4:00 pm
Saturday, June 18 - 10:00 am at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception Mass of Priesthood Ordination - Together with 7 other men, they will be ordained priests for the Archdiocese of Washington. Please keep them in your prayers! Also, all are welcome to attend Fr. Mlynarczyk's First Mass at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 19, here at his home parish of SJN, followed by a reception. Come celebrate this joyful occasion! Bonus: The Church offers a plenary indulgence for attending a priest's First Mass! As an extra grace, you can also receive a first blessing from our newly ordained priest. Rejoice!
Sunday, June 19 - 9:30 am at St. John Neumann Church Fr. Peter's First Mass & Reception - You are invited to attend the newly ordained Fr. Peter's first Mass and reception.
This is certainly an amazing event to be celebrated in our parish. We hope many parishioners are able to join in the celebration!
