CHRISTIAN INITIATION FOR CHILDREN AND TEENS (RCIC / RCIT)

For children and teens who have not received the sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist, Confirmation, or Reconciliation at the usual age of reception, Saint John Neumann offers a specialized preparation program adapted from the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults, or R.C.I.A. The process guides children or teens through an age-appropriate understanding of our Catholic Faith nurturing the relationship with Jesus Christ whom God sent for the salvation of all.

The Rite of Christian Initiation for children or teens is geared for those between seven and eighteen years old who are:

1. Unbaptized; or
2. Baptized in another Christian tradition but now desire to become a Catholic; or
3. Baptized in the Catholic Church but have had little or no Religious Education, training, or catechism classes, and want to celebrate First Communion, Reconciliation or Confirmation;

Fees for this program are covered in our Faith Formation Fees, unless specified in writing.
