The RCIA is the process by which the Catholic Church welcomes new members into its midst and/or completes the process of Christian initiation. It is a return to the method used by the Early Church to initiate new members.

For those preparing to receive Baptism, this process in an extended immersion into the Paschal Mystery that allows the individual to thoroughly absorb the conversion experience. For those already Baptized, this process permits a reaffirmation of the Baptismal Vows and an extended opportunity for reflection on the meaning and significance of one’s own Baptism.
At Saint John Neumann Catholic Parish, the RCIA is a multi-dimensional process of Christian Initiation into the Catholic Community that includes the thorough study of Sacred Scripture and Church doctrine, spiritual reflection, private prayer, liturgical (public) prayer of the Church, community involvement, and service.
RCIA Meeting occur once a week on Sundays at 10:30 am. and are conducted by trained and certified staff and team members. As the year progresses RCIA members also have various opportunities to participate in Church and social functions and service projects - thus becoming integrated members of the St. John Neumann Community.
The RCIA Process is essentially a loving immersion into the Mystery of the Church in which Jesus Christ is truly active and present in His community of believers. It facilitates a conversion of the heart to our loving God through Jesus Christ - Our Lord and Savior!
